Since 1984, Janice Parker Landscape Architects has established a reputation for conceiving, planning, and installing thoughtful landscapes and are dedicated to excellent design, full documentation, and project coordination. We are committed to strong relationships and long-term development of our landscapes. We pride ourselves on clear communication throughout the process and engage our clients as members of the project team. We offer the creative spirit and technical expertise that produces unique and comprehensive solutions to complex site challenges.
Located in Connecticut, we work extensively in locations along Long Island Sound, New York City, the Hamptons, Florida and Russia.
“Janice seamlessly connects her designs to the natural world surrounding them, and, as important, connects her work to her clients. She clearly has a sense of whom she is designing for, their needs, and their sense of style, all the while maintaining an eye to the culture and history of the community in which her gardens reside.”

“Janice Parker has put her spectacular talents to work on behalf of all New Yorkers through her service to the city’s community gardens and Million Trees NYC program. Her reverence for the art of nature is equaled only by her passion for the creativity of design, and the combination is both amazing and inspiring.”
Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP and mayor of New York City, 2002–2013
Our specialized skillset includes the design of defined elements such as masonry, planting, outdoor lighting, water features, irrigation, and pools. As a full-service firm, we are well-versed in conceptual and schematic design; design development and the preparation of construction documents; construction administration, bidding and negotiation; specification development and cost estimating; bid administration and recommendation; and contract administration.
For all environmentally thoughtful projects, we provide the analysis and evaluation of ecosystems, habitats, wetlands, and terrain. For projects that require regulatory approval, we work with the associated agencies in the preparation of the application, presentations to commissions, and management of the approval process.
